This is a very special and beautiful 1959 356A up for sale. 

This car has had the same owner for the past twenty years. The car comes with records (over $125,000) and a very extensive history.

The 1^st owner raced in the 1960, 61, & 62 seasons, finished 3^rd nationally at the SCCA national run-offs in 1962.

The 2^nd owner restored the car in early 1987. Then in 1988 raced the car in the Grand Prix of Dallas finishing 3^rd in class. Then in 1988 he raced it in the Austin/River City Road Race finishing 2^nd in class. Also in 1988 it ran the Chicago Historic races and placed 5^th in class. This 356 coupe comes with a SCCA history and log book. In 1989 it took first place in class at Elkhart Lake.

This car has some upgrades including a 741 gearbox out of a 356SC model with short 3^rd and 4^th gears. It also has a Quaife limited slip. The shifter mechanism has been modified and is also a short throw shifter. It has disc brakes with cross-drilled rotors out of a 1965 356. It has stainless steel brake lines. The steel braided oil lines lead to the front external oil cooler. It has a programmable fuel management system as well as a crank fire ignition system. Carrillo rods are installed and up front an aluminum fuel cell. There is also a fire suppressor system.
