Guards red 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster with only 18k original miles. This California car has been shipped to Redline Service in Tucson, AZ to be brought out of storage and be placed up for sale. While in storage a mouse got into the car and began to nest inside the fresh air duct. We found no damage to any wiring or plastic, we cleaned the debris from behind the gauges and in the air ducts. At that time Redline Service also found that the AC system needed to have Freon added to it. Someone has placed the battery on the passenger seat which leaked acid and damaged the leather. The seat was then removed, shipped to Autobahn Interiors in San Diego, Ca. They replaced the perforated leather bottom seat section and shipped the seat back to us. The color of the repair did not match the drivers seat upon return. We then had a professional leather dye job, they now appear to be in like new condition. Prior to the current owner the car was owned by an airline pilot and has been registered in Florida, Ohio, California and Arizona. We do not know if the changes from state to state were from the pilot or other owners as CARFAX does not give out this information. (SEE COMPLETE CARFAX REPORT HERE). Car has clean title and certificate of authenticity from Porsche (SEE OFFICIAL PORSCHE CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY HERE). We found some small evidence of paint work on drivers door, right front fender, rear deck lid and top of rear fender, the paint match is excellent and the repairs are virtually undetectable. We went over the car with a light magnet and found no evidence of body filler in any of the repairs. There is a small crack in the lower right side of the windshield (See Pictures Of Problem Areas In Gallery). Due to the paint work and upholstery repair this car may not be for the serious Porsche collector. However if you are in the market for one of the nicest, low mileage 911 Speedsters to drive and enjoy then this is the car for you!
